Keynote Speaker - Friday Opening Ceremony

She Matters Now! Why it’s the Time of the Feminine

This is a significant time for women globally and particularly those of us in leadership, however, we must not be complacent or take anything for granted. We must come together, supporting each other as we push for progress and pave the way for those who follow.

Sue Lindsay is a CEO, professional director, accidental researcher, start-up survivor, speaker, and Master Executive Coach who has a passion for all things feminine. She is utterly resolute in her commitment to advancing the role of women in leadership and business in New Zealand. She partnered with BNZ in delivering her Women in Business program to over 5500 women. Her Feminine Perspective research project continues to challenge the way business thinks about brand and leading diversity across the gender gap. Her work with women has recently been recognised with an invitation to join the Washington DC based International Women’s Forum.

Sue believes that we are the leaders that we have been looking for, and wants women from all walks of life and all generations to really value and understand how to leverage the feminine advantage, why it is so important to each of us, why it's good for business, our communities and for New Zealand. Sue lives and breathes authentic leadership– she believes that now, more than ever, we are all being called to leadership – that this is not optional, that it is imperative – and not for the faint hearted.

Friday Night Showcase

Debbie comes to us with varied experience in performance and public speaking. As a child, she had always been very interested in performing and hit the stage at a young age. She competed in numerous styles of dance and was part of a children’s theatre group, as well as winning several speech competitions and being the leader of her debating team throughout high school.

After quite a bit of travelling around the world and living in a few different places, Debbie was offered a position in the Entertainment Team for Princess Cruises. Where she ended up working onboard for several years and had worked her way up to Deputy Cruise Director. She ran the secondary theatre onboard the large ships and hosted Bingo, Trivias, Game Shows, the Wake-Up TV show onboard and various passenger programs.

Since coming off ships, Debbie has hosted numerous charity and fundraising events, and has also been a Quiz Master for local schools both developing the quizzes and delivering on the night.

Up until a recent job change, Debbie had presented countless Cruise Evenings around New Zealand for travel agents and clients. Speaking about cruising, life onboard, what to expect, different cruise lines and the like. Her knowledge of the cruise industry in extensive.

Tonight, Debbie will be hosting and is the MC for our entertainment and we are sure that you will enjoy the show.
